Hey! Shannon here,

Empowering dog guardians to transform behaviour from undesirable to desirable.

Does your dog ever embarrass you?

  • Running around like a mad man when called?

  • Pulling on leash, they'd be a shoe in for the Iditarod

  • Barking at anything and everything moving or still?

  • Jumping up, you wonder if they have pogo sticks for legs?

  • Screams blue murder when left alone?

  • Makes you wonder if they're raised by wolves with their manners?

I can't believe I'm going to admit this, but it’s true, my dogs have embarrassed me on many occasions. Some more than others.

You don't learn what you need to until something drives you up the wall.

Take my first two dog's, they loved all dogs, had hit and miss recalls and played 'keep away' when they had a toy. They performed many obedience behaviours like sit, down and stay well. I thought they were the perfect dogs.

Enter stage left my balls to the wall Darby. Who’s sweet as pie or wound for sound. This precocious boy took me on a journey of learning.

On one hand my yellow boy excelled at obedience behaviours, got his Champion Trick title. Competed in agility. Participated in scenting. Got the 2nd highest level in school in record time.

On the other, he presented many behaviour challenges.

  • Reacting to dogs through fences, dogs on the street, dogs outside the car.

  • Barking his head off at squirrels, doors slamming, driving in the car, knocks at the door.

  • Jumping up to greet people, cause hugs are the best you know!

  • Lunging out when entering new environments with other dogs present.

So, what did I do?

I got curious and found Absolute Dogs, Concept trainers who blew my mind.

Your dog like mine has a personality, the beauty, it’s not set in stone. There are traits you want and others you don't.

If you’re like me you’ve put up with a lacklustre recall. Or walked your dog before the crack of dawn to avoid other dogs. You push through the shame when your dog jumps at guests or tackles the letter carrier. So your dog won’t be alone, you have a babysitter on speed dial.

Why?

Because, you’ve thought this is the way it is. My dog has no hope of changing.

I am here to show you, your dream dog is only a daily routine away.

Through concept training games you can reshape your dog’s personality.

Like boosting confidence.
Creating engagement.
Building stamina to work longer for little reward.

Take pessimistic Parker; doesn't like other dogs, new things, barks first, asks later. Play optimism games to make the unexpected, exciting vs scary to your dog.

Bye-bye fear and frustration; hello calm and confident dog.
